Delhi Daredevils registered their 6th win as they beat Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets in yesterdays match.

Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bat first. They lost 2 wickets in the first over. Jayasuriya was replaced by Ronchi to open the innings but he couldn’t manage to score a run and got out needlessly, trying to take a single playing the ball straignt to Warner. Warner was quick to react and hit the stumps at the non-strikers end in a flash. Duminy, the in form batsman for Mumbai Indians was the next to go for a duck, caught by Wicketkeeper Murali Karthik of the bowling of Nannes. After the first over Mumbai Indian were 2/1. Sachin Tendulkar looked in good touch and was run out by Karthik. Shah was caught at mid-on trying to clear the boundary rope. Bravo and Nayar played with some responsibility and they put on 57 Runs for the 5th wicket. Both got out off concecutive deliveries and the tail couldn’t do much with the bat. Mumbai Indians just scored 116 runs in 20 overs, their lowest in all IPL games they played. Bravo was the only batsman who showed some intense scoring 35 of 30balls. Daredevils bowlers bowled well and they fielded well except for couple of drop catches. Bhatia was the pick of the bowlers taking 3 wickets just conceding 15 runs. Nannes and Nehra got 2 wickets each.

IPL T20 – Rohit Sharma’s hat-trick take Deccan Chargers home

In yesterday’s IPL T20 match Deccan Chargers played against Mumbai Indians in SuperSport Park, Centurion.  Gilchrist, captain of Deccan Chargers won the toss and elected to bat first.

Gilchrist and Gibbs opened the innings for Deccan Chargers. Gibbs failed once again to score runs and edged one to safe hands of Sachin. Suman came in at no.2 and scored 20(13) before edging one to keeper Shah. Gilchrist played well, nudging singles knowing the importance of his presence till the end, but got out to a full length delivery just before the strategic break. He scored 25 of 29 balls, unlike him. At the strategic break Deccan Chargers were 63/3. Smith lost his wicket trying to play big shots. Rohit Sharma batted well for his 38(36) but couldn’t hit big shots against the good blowing of Mumbai Indians. Harbhajan didn’t had a good day with the ball as he was hit out of the park 3 times in 2 overs. Good fielding and bowling helped Mumbai Indians to restrict Deccan Chargers to 145/6 in 20 Overs. Malinga, Kulkarni, Bravo, Raje and Jayasuriya all got a wicket each.
